The commute from the Peninsula into San Francisco must have been too much.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry bought a condo in San Francisco’s soon-to-open Four Seasons Private Residences.

The real estate deal comes after the point guard relocated his family from the East Bay to Atherton last year to prepare for the team’s move from Oakland to San Francisco. Curry and his wife Ayesha reportedly purchased a $31 million off-market home in June.

At 706 Mission St., the Four Seasons is less than two miles from the Warriors’ new home base at the Chase Center. Curry could practically make the walk there part of his warm-up.

Sources told the Chronicle the purchase price for the 2,800-square-foot unit was under $8 million.

The Four Seasons Private Residences sits in the heart of the city’s Yerba Buena Arts District and is expected to open this spring. The complex of condos and penthouses is spread across a new tower and the adjacent newly renovated historic Aronson Building.

There are 146 units total, with 10 penthouses, priced from $15 million to $25 million, and a $49 million grand penthouse. Residents have access to a wide array of amenities including personally customized service and access to experts such as a fitness guru, wine consultant and art curator.
