The Business Times received 95 submissions from companies in all walks of industries for our largest LGBT-owned Bay Area businesses list. From restaurants and retailers to mobile friend and dating services, this is a breakdown of the top 10 industries in which those companies fall, by number of companies that submitted. Data for this slideshow was obtained from San Francisco Business Times research.
The Business Times published a list of the top 25 largest LGBT-owned Bay Area businesses in our Business of Pride focus issue last Friday. Companies listed are at least 51 percent lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender-owned, and are headquartered in the Greater Bay Area.
Of the 95 companies that submitted, 78 are 100 percent LGBT-owned, and 42 are certified LGBT businesses.
