SAN DIEGOALMs Real Estate Media Group continues to expand into the California region by adding two new hires to its West Coast team. The new hires are part of a California expansion that includes the recent launch of GlobeSt.coms San Diego local edition.

Lisa Brown joins the firm as an editor/reporter for the San Francisco Bay Area region of GlobeSt.com. She has 25-plus years of Bay Area/national real estate experience, with a regional role at Grubb Ellis and a national communications director position at Marcus Millichap. Brown also spent 10 years as executive director at NAIOP San Francisco Bay Area chapter, where she led the organization to achieving its first national award honors and recognition on Capitol Hill. She has written extensively on commercial real estate topics and edited numerous pieces on the subject.

In September 2014, REM announced the hiring of Kristi Procopio as Western States sales manager for GlobeSt.com, RealShare Conferences and Real Estate Forum. Nicole Bordges now joins the team as account executive, Western region. Bordges was previously a senior advertising account manager, West Coast, with Ink Global, publishers of United Hemispheres, Rhapsody, American Way, Celebrated Living and Nexos. She handled print and digital sales for this group of five magazines that are produced for the worlds number-one and number-three largest airlines globally and handled West Coast sales in California, Arizona, Hawaii, Colorado and Nevada. Bordges has a category specialty in tech, consumer electronics, travel/hospitality, finance, realestate, destination marketing groups, liquor, auto, Las Vegas casinos/gaming and more. She also previously held positions with Pace Communications, Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Bureau, QUEST Magazine, Southern California Media Group and Yogi Times Lifestyle Media Group.

GlobeSt.coms dedicated San Diego page was launched in February and has shown 76% month-over-month growth in page views. The San Diego page is now the fifth most-visited local edition on GlobeSt.com. In addition, the weekly San Diego email alert boasts a 25% open rate.

In an effort to gain insight on topics and trends important to the Southern California commercial real estate market, REM is hosting a series of Executive Forums with select leaders in the CRE industry this week. Areas to be covered include the regions major growth sectors; hiring trends and the capital markets reaction to these developments; demand drivers across the CRE spectrum; demographic trends; and development patterns in the best-performing submarkets.

Currently, GlobeSt.com offers dedicated market editions for Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco and San Diego. Plus, Real Estate Forum offers regular reports on the California markets in monthly features and, throughout the year, profiles of the regions successful CRE professionals in such features as Emerging Leaders, Women of Influence and Top Brokers.

The conference division of REM, the RealShare Conference Series, is offering several upcoming events in California.
